Remember when Mark Wahlberg (aka Marky Mark) posed for Calvin Klein? So do we. Oh, yes…
Well, Calvin Klein Jeans is attempting to recreate those ads with a more current pop star: Justin Bieber. Yes, you read that right.
The Biebs is starring in CK Jeans and CK Underwear’s latest ads alongside model Lara Stone. While the campaign photos (shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott) are great quality, JB looks, well…awkward, to say the least. Maybe we’re just old but he is no heartthrob and definitely lacks Marky Mark‘s ‘swagger’. The images show a tatted up Bieber lying in various positions with Stone, as well as one image where he’s simply pulling up his tank top, admiring his abs and his CK boxer shorts. In the ads, he looks at the camera as if he’s in disbelief that he was chosen for the campaign.

Melisa Goldie, chief marketing officer of Calvin Klein, Inc. said in a statement: “Justin joins a long list of musicians, models, celebrities and fashion icons that have been featured in our global advertising campaigns. Justin’s global recognition, expressed affinity for the brand, and powerful persona bring a compelling energy to our jeans and underwear brands.”
Bieber commented: “I have been a longtime fan of the brand and have worn their jeans and underwear for a while, so this is kind of a dream come true.”
Check out the campaign as it rolls out worldwide this March in magazines and in 20 countries.
